$15,000 Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation Environmental Education Grant Awarded to Port Royal Sound Foundation

Okatie, SC.  On September 24, 2019 Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awarded an Environmental Education Grant in the amount of $15,000 to the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF). The grant will help us continue to offer strong educational programs for children and adults focusing on environmental education relating to the Port Royal Sound.

“The Port Royal Sound Foundation is so honored to receive this important grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.  Our STEM-focused field trip programs have reached over 10,000 school children. Adult educational programs have doubled in the past year, reaching 600-1000 participants. Additionally, every one of our 70+ exhibits in the Maritime Center is free to the public so everyone can come and learn about the Port Royal Sound while enjoying its beauty right outside our doors.”
