$21,325 Grant Award to Port Royal Sound Foundation

Okatie, SC, September 27, 2019– On September 10, 2019 The Port Royal Sound Foundation received final approval from the South Carolina Arts Commission for a General Operations Support (GOS) grant in the amount of $21,325.00.

“The Port Royal Sound Foundation is honored to receive this grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission. This funding helps our young organization expand its multi-faceted arts programming: Art of the Sound art shows, Recycled Art Contest, River of Words (with Beaufort County Schools), annual Featured Artist, art classes, the Rotating Art Gallery Room in the Maritime Center, STEAM Festival (science, technology, engineering, art and math), poetry readings and much more. The Arts connect people with the beauty of the Port Royal Sound and extends their appreciation and desire to protect this important resource.”
