$50,000 Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation Grant Awarded to PRSF

Okatie, SC.  On November 12, 2020, Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation awarded an Environmental Education Grant in the amount of $50,000 to the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF). The grant will help us create a citizen scientist program to monitor water quality of the Port Royal Sound and compile historical water quality data as a basis for an annual State of the Sound Report; create a renewable energy exhibit; and implement a research forum about the Port Royal Sound.

“Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has been one of our biggest supporters over the years. This incredible grant will help us begin to actively support Port Royal Sound research, connect researchers, and educate children and adults about the importance of the Port Royal Sound. Current and future decision makers will need factual data to guide their decisions. This grant will help us collect and share essential information for everyone.”
