Our Recycled Art Contest is hosted each Fall and encourages Lowcountry residents to get creative and make art using recycled materials! The theme for all artwork submitted must relate to the Port Royal Sound – think ocean, animals, beaches, local culture & history, and fun in the sun.

Entries must be made from at least 80% recyclables or trash material that is clean and safe to touch. Some other regulations are listed below:

• No sharp edges.
• Must be appropriate for all audiences to view.
• Is transportable and able to fit through a typical doorway.
• Is secure and won’t come apart easily.
• Is able to stand alone or includes hanging hardware.
• If it is weather resistant (and can be displayed outdoors) it should drain well and not hold water (unless, of course, that is part of the presentation!).
• Name, phone number, and organization must be attached to artwork.
