In 2022, South Carolina adopted a law allowing local governments access to a new conservation tool for protecting and preserving land. Soon after, Beaufort County became the first county in the state to implement the new tool, creating the Green Space Program. Join Juliana Smith, Environmental Long Range Planner for Beaufort County, as she details how this program is being developed, what they are working on now, and goals for the future.
