This talk will cover the geological history of the area from the creation of North America as we know it, through the opening of the Atlantic Ocean, up to today. It will focus on the deposition and growth of the coastal plain through many changes in sea level- particularly the last 3 million years. Presented by William Doar, III, Geologist with SC Department of Natural Resources.
