Grant Awarded to PRSF Junior Naturalist Program from Junior Service League of Beaufort

On June 3, 2022, the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF) received a grant from The Junior Service League of Beaufort (JSLB) in support of our Junior Naturalist program. This program, an exciting new addition to our array of educational offerings, will give youth a chance to learn all about the unique environment through hands-on learning. Participants will walk away with increased knowledge of our area’s water and wildlife; a sense of pride in themselves and their community; and a passion for protecting the Port Royal Sound. Keep an eye on our calendar for more information about this upcoming program!

“I’m really excited about this program and very grateful for JSLB’s support. Giving kids the opportunity to connect to their environment through interactive learning activities like fishing, interacting with reptiles, hiking through the salt marsh, and more plays a huge role in developing their interest in preserving the Sound. Plus, kids will be proud to say that they’re Junior Naturalists!”
