$26,5000 Grant From Beaufort County For PRSF Marketing & Operations

The Port Royal Sound Foundation received $26,500 in a Beaufort County 2% Accommodations Tax grant for marketing, advertising, and operational funding to attract more visitors to Beaufort County and the Maritime Center campus. With over 30,000 visitors a year, a third from outside a 50-mile radius, the Port Royal Sound Foundation enriches the tourist experience by adding another reason for visitors to stay an extra day in Beaufort County.

We are delighted to be able to partner with Beaufort County to bring more visitors to the county and the area. Visitors come to our area in large part because of the Port Royal Sound: its beauty, recreational activities, history, and its culture. As the organization solely dedicated to preserving the Port Royal Sound for the environmental, cultural, and economic well-being of our area, these funds help us reach visitors and encourage them to spend more time here visiting us and all the other great places in Beaufort County.
