In January 2023, the Port Royal Sound Foundation (PRSF) received a grant from The Bargain Box of Hilton Head for operating support. With this generous funding, PRSF will be able to support a wide array of exciting educational programming for children, adults, and families. This is particularly important with the completion of the new Educational Pavilion, which will increase the flexibility and capacity of programs offered. PRSF is proud to work with the Bargain Box to further their goal of supporting worthwhile activities relating to education, youth, and recreation in our community.
PRSF’s educational programs include field trips, summer camps, Junior Naturalist programs, kayak tours, Adult Pluff Mudder Camp, and much more. Connecting people to our unique local environment and offering hands-on learning opportunities is a critical part of building community pride and a network of environmental stewards. PRSF believes that everyone should have access to these activities regardless of limiting circumstances, and the support of organizations like the Bargain Box allows us to reach more people and adapt to meet the needs and interests of our community.
