$26,656 Grant Awarded to the Port Royal Sound Foundation

On December 10, 2021, the Port Royal Sound Foundation received a $26,656 General Operations Support (GOS) grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission. From the beginning, the Port Royal Sound Foundation has recognized art as a critical way to connect with conservation and the community. Our ongoing arts programming—including daily STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities, collaboration with local artists, our annual Recycled Art Contest, and more—is supported in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

“Engaging visitors of all ages with the arts is a huge component of our education and conservation work at the Port Royal Sound Foundation.  We are so grateful for South Carolina Arts Commission’s support that allows us to keep our programming relevant, creative, and exciting for everyone.”

-Jody Hayward, Executive Director
