$4000 Grant Awarded to Port Royal Sound Foundation

Okatie, SC, July 19, 2019– The Long Cove Club Community Charitable Fund within the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry generously granted $4,000 to the Port Royal Sound Foundation in June for their Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle program.

“The Port Royal Sound Foundation is honored to receive this important grant from the Long Cove Club Community Charitable Fund. The National Geographic Open Explorer Program provided the foundation with a Trident Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), and this grant will enable us to purchase additional equipment and support the exciting uses we have planned for the ROV. Thanks to Long Cove, we are creating new ways to share the Port Royal Sound with area students.”
