Okatie, SC – The Stanley B. Farbstein Endowment of Coastal Community Foundation awarded $10,000 to the Port Royal Sound Foundation. This generous grant will support the wide range of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) programming at the Maritime Center.
“The Port Royal Sound Foundation is honored to receive this generous grant from the Stanley B. Farbstein Endowment of Coastal Community Foundation. Our Maritime Center, summer camps, festivals and field trip programming are centered around experiential, STEM-based activities. We partner with area teachers, scientists, businesses and organizations to foster children’s engagement in STEM education. This grant helps us expand our work to educate people of all ages about the important role that the Port Royal Sound plays in defining the health of our community.”
