PRS Field Guide | Mammals

Mammals are a class of animals (including humans!) that are vertebrates (have backbones), are endothermic (warm-blooded), have fur or hair, and typically give birth to live young. In the Port Royal Sound watershed, there are mammal species that live on land and some that live in the water. Even of the mammals that live on land, many spend time in and around the salt marsh to find food.
